Applicable legal framework<\/p><p><br \/>This policy is based on current Colombian legislation, in particular:<\/p><ul><li>Law 679 of 2001, which prevents and punishes sexual exploitation of minors.<\/li><li>Law 1336 of 2009, which reinforces ESCMA's prevention and control actions in the context of tourism.<\/li><li>Law 1098 of 2006 \u2013 Children and Adolescents Code.<\/li><li>Law 300 of 1996 \u2013 General Tourism Act.<\/li><\/ul><p><br \/>The sexual exploitation of children and adolescents is a serious criminal offence punishable under Colombian law, regardless of the nationality of the offender.<\/p><p><br \/>3.
