Allocation of resources:

The investment of the resources collected is aimed at strengthening sustainable, responsible and culturally respectful tourism through the implementation of specific actions focused on the conservation and protection of tourist attractions (viewpoint, public space, sculpture circuit, etc.), the beautification and maintenance of the town centre, and the preservation of the municipality's strategic environmental areas, including the Ramsar site (Tarapoto Lakes) to control access and carrying capacity (number of boats per day).

Likewise, resources are allocated to diversifying tourism offerings by strengthening and creating cultural, artistic, and nature trails that highlight the identity of the territory's three ethnic groups, as well as to the construction, adaptation, and maintenance of cultural venues that stimulate tourism and community activity.

In a coordinated manner, ongoing actions are carried out to safeguard intangible cultural heritage through regular cultural activities led by the Secretariat of Culture, which promote the visibility, transmission and appreciation of traditional local expressions.
With regard to tourism management, measures are being taken to control and manage visitor flows appropriately, including improvements to the Entry Control Point planned for 2025, the implementation of control systems, and the efficient use of water and energy, ensuring compliance with carrying capacity and environmental sustainability.

Finally, the resources enable the operation and maintenance of the Tourist Control Point, strengthen security conditions for residents and visitors, and maintain NTS–TS 001-1 certification through ongoing institutional actions coordinated between the various municipal administration departments and other stakeholders, including the implementation of connectivity points in the urban centre as part of the continuous improvement of the tourist experience.
